I like how it actually came with a stick. Those back seats are hilarious though. I guess it would be good enough for doggo.

0/10 title doesn’t tell me why it costs so much.

A Lotus with an automatic. Huh. Guess I’ll have to consider an Evora if I win the lottery.

I know right? Never gave it much thought before, figured I’d never fit in an Elise or exile so kinda wrote off lotus, but that is an absolutely gorgeous car. I’d take that over just about any “exotic” except a spyker. I even like that burnt orange in the vid which has never happened before, usually I just think 2004 cavalier and retch.

Yeah I didn’t even know that at first I thought all the ones on autotrader were mislabeled as they so often are until I looked at interior pix.

I’ve wanted one since I first saw one when it came out. Its all I want in a sporty car I don’t need the S. Just a standard model please.

He’s testing a 2014 Evora S though, right? 345 hp supercharged camry engine. One big thing that got me from the video is the mileage indicator - 16.6 L/100 km. That’s only 14 US mpg. To give you an idea of how bad that is, my 1972 Buick with a 7.5L V8 from 1971 gets about 13 US mpg in the city and 17 on the highway....

Why such terrible mileage in a car that was apparently able to get 30 mpg according to Top Gear? Does he drive like a yorbo? Hard on the gas and brake? Or does he let it idle for long periods? Or is the mileage really just poor?

If you get one, see if you can fit the original Evora front bumper on it - I think the redesigned ones (like your photo, not Doug’s video) are hideousssss.

I’ll have to watch that video though soon - at first I didn’t care much for the Evora because it was such a departure from the Elise/Exige (including styling - a lot more restrained), but it grew on me and I had no reason to believe anything but it being an amazing car.

Yeah the redesign is definitely a lot busier, and the overall design is so sleek I think I would agree with you, I just loved those colors in particular though if I ever get to actual ownership I think I’d have to go with white on red. To me this is almost what a Ferrari should look like, but those have gotten a lot busier as well, some of them look OK or even good, but i don’t even remember the last time I thought a Ferrari was gorgeous.
