At the Toronto Auto show, I came across some cars that were officially dead, but still alive in Canada...

First up... the Mitsubishi Lancer sedan and Lancer Sportback:

Next up... the Mazda 5... which is still available with a manual.

Kinja'd!!!

And the Mitsubishi I-MIEV is still officially on sale. Why they have that still in the lineup and not the EVO makes no sense to me.

I’ve always liked the Lancer Sportback...call me weird, but I love small wagons (has more of a wagony vibe than a hatchback to me). Reminds me in size / height of my old 2002 Subie Impreza wagon. Would gladly DD one!

As for the Rondo, it’s not really dead. Rondo is just the Canadian market name. It’s called the Carens elsewhere and is still in production in it’s third gen? The third-gen Rondo has a 6-spd manual option as well! Well...at least it did last year...apparently they discontinued the manual trans. in Canada for the 2017 models :(

My dad and I looked at the Mitsubishi booth, shrugged, and carried on with our lives.
