Question for all of you parts savants:

I’m looking for a clutch slave cylinder of a specific size. Google isn’t yielding much for results. Is there a way I can search for OE slaves by bore size? The manufacturer doesn’t matter, It’s a Volvo packing a Ford transmission. Essentially, does anyone know where I can find a clutch slave with a 5/8" bore and a 2" stroke?

Thanks guys, you’re the best. Here’s a

I know for a fact that O’Reilly has a very advanced system for their brake parts, which *technically* allows for searching parts by diameter, hose connections, etc. etc. etc. Might also be possible for clutch slave. It’s very nice. However, whichever fuckbag set up their website search has made access to nice features like that impossible from outside, because PLEASE SELECT VEHICLE HURR DURR. You’d have to do that in a store with someone good with the system.

Your other option is if you have a NAPA with an old-school applications book for common parts. That would be how I got (almost) exact replacement wheel cylinders for a trailer.

Your other other option is expensive generic stuff from a hot rod supplier.

I have a passionate hatred for the select a vehicle parts search, especially now that I have a car that comes from 2 cars. Thank you for your advice, I just called our local O’reilly. They’re pretty good there.

Does the slave cylinder come from the Ford? If you know what model it came off of, this utility will tell you what other cars use the same part:

Hahaha no man, there wasn’t even an option for a hydraulic clutch in the year for my trans. That’s my trouble, I know the size but I don’t know what cars would have that certain size. I tried a VW slave first but it didn’t have quite enough travel. However, I appreciate the resource you put up, that will come in handy.
