The simplest method of removal would be to try something with a strong odor to encourage it to move out. Dropping mothballs into the armadillo’s burrow might help evict it. If that doesn’t work, you could always try a rag soaked in vinegar or ammonia (anything with a mild form of ammonia, like Windex, should be enough to do the trick — if it smells bad to you, it ought to smell absolutely awful to an armadillo).

The cam followers and fuel pump have been known to have wear issues. Also, if you’re having boost issues, check your diverter valve, because it’s prone to failure. Take care of the car and it will take care of you!

How long have you been anti-shoe? How did it come about? Was there an acceptance curve with family, friends, etc.? And how do you find it? Is it just something you never give any thought to or is it like “shit, I can’t go on that hike because feet!”? Have your feet become stronger/developed thicker skin etc. to adapt? i.e. compared to someone else’s foot would you say it’s toughened up? Not trying to make fun or judge at all, truly curious.

If I were the Stig, I wouldn’t be renting my home, I can tell you that!
To hear my parents tell it, I’ve been anti-shoe forever. When I was a kid, my poor mother quickly became exasperated because I had a tendency to “lose” my shoes (I would hide them, then say I lost them, just so I wouldn’t have to wear them). I occasionally get gentle, light-hearted teasing from family/friends, but my shoelessness is widely known and accepted by all who know me.
The reason is pretty simple. I get uncomfortable if I can’t feel the ground I’m standing on. If there’s something between me and the ground I don’t feel...well, grounded. Obviously, I can put on shoes when I absolutely have to, but they make me feel fidgety and weird. Even those super-thin minimalist shoes aren’t much better. I’m much happier to go without.
How do I find it? Just fine and dandy. I don’t give a lot of thought to it. I run, I hike, I do everything you shoe people do. I just do it barefoot. Heck, I’m doing Tough Mudder in May. Obviously I’ve built up some fairly thick skin on my soles, but that takes weeks to develop, not years. Go barefoot for a couple of months straight, and you’d probably be just as tough.

Very cool, thanks for taking the time! I’m sure there are plenty of things we just do because it’s what everybody else does, but humans don’t really NEED to and even we don’t really need to in order to operate in society. Like yeah, we probably don’t need any clothes for a good part of the year at least – but that’d be tough to go about your daily business. Shoes – if you don’t like them, and don’t need them, then why bother.
