IMPOSSIBLE! One clearly says “pontiac,” and is most definitely NOT a Corolla hatchback.

I’ve gotta ask. Why do you need a hammer to change the oil? O_O

Tap on the wrench around the drain plug. It can be a little snug.

At one time my 93 MX6 (KLDE, at that time, the KLZE swap was latter), my dad’s 95 R package miata and my mom’s 02 Millennia (also KLDE), all used the same oil and filter. It was convenient. They were also all white, or metallic white. We used to tell the neighbors we were collecting white Mazdas.

The Jeep’s oil filter has a bigger capacity than the Niva’s but otherwise they’re fully compatible. Same oil, too.

I discovered at work yesterday that our skid steer (New Holland can’t remember the numbers) uses the same oil filter as our Cushman side-by-side, as well as the 2010-ish 3.3L Grand Caravans we’ve got.

Hooray for parts interchangeability.
