Beautiful day out, motorcycle is still sitting in the garage waiting for VA To re-issue the title[1]. I keep trying to rationalize taking it for just one drive(it is insured), but trying to explain to a cop that it is my bike despite the lack of registration or title in my name is unlikely to end well for me.
I am not by nature a patient person, and I’m reaching “climbing the walls” level with this particular wait.
[1] original owner screwed up title when he sold it to the CT dealer I bought it from. Dealer didn’t notice until the RI DMV rejected it. Dealer ended up having to send a pile of notarized docs & the bad title to the original title state (VA), and we’re all waiting on VA to issue a good title to the dealer, who will then sign it over to me.

I’m a 22 year old on a very loud, very obnoxious, and very ‘pull me the fuck over’ sportbike. I dont get bothered unless I’m riding like an idiot.

My DMV, when I applied for cycle endorsement, somehow thought I just wanted a learner’s permit instead of the full endorsement that my MSF course qualified me for. So I rode around for half a year with a valid permit and another year and a half with nothing at all. Never once had an issue. Good thing I saved all of my paperwork though, otherwise I’d be out another 200 or so for another course -_-

given the failure states involve getting the bike towed & impounded and not being able to get it out because I have nothing proving it is mine, and fines, etc. I’m not going to risk it.

I feel your pain. On one vehicle, I’m waiting for the title to come through to the dealer from the Mass RMV so I can legally buy it. As for my bike, it’s fully registered and legal, but I’m stuck at work and can’t ride.

Yesterday it was in the 60's, today it’s supposed to snow 10". I know the feeling.
It was really nice all of last week and I did manage to get close to a couple hundred miles in though, which on one hand subdued my PMS (parked motorcycle syndrome), but on the other, much larger hand, really got me eager to get the bike out more.
