But this C5 wearing base C6 wheels looks better than factory.

I think they look better than the skinny spokes it could’ve had:

Or the clunky early wheels:

My dad put the wheels from a 3rd-gen Lexus GS300 on his 2nd gen back in the day. Looked really good. It can make a lot of older cars look that little bit more contemporary when done right.

I typically love mixing generations of wheels! You get OEM quality in wheels that usually look like they are supposed to be there. IMHO the enthusiast will always be caught by the fact that it’s “right but not quite right”, the rest of the world would never notice.

Way better than some hideous aftermarket addition that adds 20lbs of unsprung weight per corner.

What about mixing dead platform-mates?

I think it’s okay if you’re within one generation, but C6 wheels on a C4 would look odd.

The Subaru wheels on the jeep confuse me.

I think it would fit the angular theme better than a C5.

Not sure if joking or not, but I do wonder which came first.

Huh, I guess Subaru copied the Jeep wheels.

People put the wheels from my car on everything, its kind of funny. Honestly, i think they’re just a good design and they look good on lots of different cars. Probably the one piece of my car that is rapidly appreciating in value.

OEM:

They go on platform mates

On previous generation cars

But also on other RWD nissans

Or FWD nissans

Or just about every non-nissan under the sun

Any wheel is better than the wagon wheels. Those were awful by any measure.

Nope. Way, way too big. C4s were designed for 16s, eventually got 17s from the factory, but 18s and above just look cartoonish and disgusting:

The cartoonishness is from the increase in ride height. Fit some coilovers and adjust them properly, and that would look good.

It would also rub a lot, so that’s a non-starter. Also, disagree anyway because the wheel itself still looks ridiculously big.

Kinja'd!!!

A set of Z06 17/18s looks pretty good with a mild drop and you don’t have any rub if you set it up right.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree, because as I mentioned above that is still way too much rim for my preferences and it just doesn’t work on the car for me.
