What kind of commie state do you live in? That there’s an RV no special license needed.

Well, it’s an RV with air brakes, and I live in the commie state of British Columbia. Most RVs don’t need a special license, but anything with air brakes requires a Class 3 license

It so would be. This sort of thing is part of why I want a decent sized piece of property

That makes more sense than it does in Georgia anybody can drive an RV on a regular license air brakes or no.

Very scary you see 75 year old men who probably shouldn’t be driving walk into a RV dealership and drive out in a brand new Prevost no special license or training.

Yikes....yeah the concept of people who have trouble knowing how wide their Versa is getting into a big diesel pusher is not very good

As far as I know you only need a class “b” license for airbrakes if you drive commercially. That’s for a box truck type vehicle. RV’s with airbrakes are fine with a regular license.

I thought it was Class 3 here, it’s actually just an air brake endorsement. It still requires a knowledge and pre-trip test though. BC doesn’t differentiate between commercial and non-commercial with air brakes, for anything with them you need the endorsement.

Georgia. Ha. We aren’t perfect in lots of ways but at least we expect adults to take responsibility for knowing how to operate their vehicles properly.

That’s how it should be, anyway...one adult shouldn’t need another adult to tell him/her how to be a grown-up.

Also no amount of intervention can prevent stupidity.

You need a special licence for air brakes over there?

Yes, well, an endorsement to a regular license. You have to take a course and do a knowledge test and demonstrate you can do a pre-trip check of the air system, but no road test.
