Am I reading that correctly that the factory specification call for positive camber on the front? That must make for some pretty dull cornering.

The cross-camber and cross-caster in the front may cause some tendency to pull left. I am surprised they couldn’t improve the cross-camber on the rear, though less than a degree camber is unlikely to make much of a difference in tire wear.

Probably fine, but they’re also probably full of shit. They always refuse to adjust the camber on my MR2 even though it’s adjustable. Sometimes they try to tell me that I need eccentric bolts... which the car came with from the factory. They just ignore it and repeat that I need eccentric bolts. Whatever... Just means that they have to do the toe a billion times as I readjust it myself and bring it back to them. Gotta love Firestone’s lifetime alignment even if the techs are terrible people who don’t know anything about cars..

Not at all terrible. If he rotates tires regularly not an issue. If those numbers were 1 or 2 full degrees off it would be something to worry about. I’ve hacked alignments when doing suspension work and driven for weeks before getting the car on a rack and been within +/- 0.5 to 2.0º and saw no noticeable wear or pull issues.

Here is a good website with some general specs , non vehicle specific.

missed it. the bigger concern would be that its rusting...other than that I think you’ll be fine.

Firestone is a joke for alignment. I’ve talked to one store manager that told me many of the firestone franchises just sit on the car when its on the rack to hit the numbers, especially for lifetime alignments. I could never get an alignment right until I took it to his shop and...wouldn’t you know...actually aligning the car instead of faking it made a difference.

I’ll be fine, thats not my car. Opposaurus’s friend’s . One of my alignment specialist at work looked at those numbers and said that whoever warned them about that minor difference was just trying to scare them into spending money on suspension work.

That sounds like the preferred method at mine. I would stare at them as they did it though. My brother is the one who took it there for the lifetime alignment. I wouldn’t after they fucked me a few times (they screwed up disc brakes badly - how do you do that?) , so I had absolutely no qualms about walking in there, being awful, and staring at them as they did it. They were terrible.
