I should be happy that I have space for two cars, but that means no project car. I really want a project car. Until then, I suppose I’ll stare at this and make engine noises.

same ... 2 car garage, and the wife has both a car and a motorcycle. told her she should be grateful I sold the Camry and kept the S2000 or else our stuff wouldn’t fit.

Tavarish’s car lift article is the only one I’ve been seriously jealous about. I’d have to do the same garage door and opener relocation among other things.

Are these an option in your area?

I have garage space for three cars, but I only keep the project cars indoors. My M5 is outside in portable shelter and I have another shelter waiting to be assembled. The daily driver (which I’m actually not using every day) is just parked outside.

Shelters are very convenient for keeping cars somewhat protecter from the elements, but keeping them permanently on the ground is a bit bothersome as my yard tends to be very windy.

My neighbor and I are in your boat, not enough garage space. Who knew the circus would be in town permanently, with 3 car shelters smashed in between 2 garages. I wonder how much it would cost to expand a 2 car garage to fit 4 cars 2 deep?

Is the pictured car available? That would be very, very tempting. I might have to test the limits of the wife’s patience for that, and keep it in the garage with the daily in the driveway. But I also like to keep my daily protected, and somewhat temperature controlled, and tents would not be acceptable in my ‘hood.

Not allowed, and not really possible given my driveway/garage arrangement. Plus, I like keeping my daily warm. Yes, I want many cakes and to eat them.

I’m not sure I understand your question (available?)- the car in the picture is a replica of an Alpina race car (at least I think it’s a replica) I don’t know its current status. I have a whole library of 2002 race car pics from when I was attempting to build something similar. I didn’t get very far, as my then-to-be wife magically turned it into a diamond ring.

I was wondering if it was for sale and you were considering buying it, right.

Too bad about your project. I often think I should have bought my project car before I got married so that it was part of the package deal, but it might have gotten excluded as yours was. Now it will be tough for me to change the status quo.

Some 2002 owners talked me out of a purchase about a year before I met my wife, and I did the smart thing, but I wish I had made that mistake.
