I heard this through the grapevine, as the dad in the story works with a friend of mine. He was apparently on his way to work at 4am this past Saturday when this happened. I can only imagine what the family is going through...

TBH, I read the source article first and commented before realizing that there was an Oppo connection. I really wouldn’t mind if my pun was dismissed, seeing as I cannot go back and edit it now.
I might not be able to sympathize with drunk driving, but I sure can with what the family and friends must be going through. What a stunning loss.

No worries, I’ve got a pretty thick skin and they weren’t personal friends of mine. Just a crazy, sad coincidence related to cars/safety/DUI. While I won’t excuse DUI, the kid was 20 and we have all done some stupid stuff. The dad was just leaving for work as the son was (presumably) coming home from partying.
