Let’s ban “POTUS” and make verbalizing it punishable by death. Yes, it has been around since the 19th century, but it’s only entered common use recently.
Even if it just gets replaced with PUS, it will sound less awful than “Potus” Potus is the name of an extra from Texas Chainsaw Massacre whose scenes were cut after he misunderstood his role and thought it was a documentary.
Make acronyms great again.
