I don’t know if anybody watches The Walking Dead, but tonight featured an interesting Easter egg for fans of car movies.
Two main characters were talking, and fighting, behind the wrecked remains of a semi. A semi with a trailer with a very distinctive paint job.
I hope zombie Snowman didn’t eat Fred.

I love how they acknowledged it on Talking Dead. There was a bit where they mentioned it was “From the 1977 movie Smokey and the Bandit” but I’m pretty sure its a replica. Its got some aero spats on it, and no reefer unit on it.
Hell even Chris Hardwick mentioned it, in between his Star Wars rants.

I saw it and turned to my wife all excitedly and ask “Wasn’t that Snowman’s truck from Smokey and the Bandit?” She just gave me that look and shook her head. I, of course, hit The Google to confirm and then to Oppo to share with people who wouldn’t shake their head at me about something so important.
