Kinja'd!!!

Someone (shockingly, not I) Duck’d this post of Stef’s. She has edited the post and removed the ducks. However, if you scroll through Oppo or her Kinja profile and find it, the ducks are still there.

Kinja has chosen. Duck yeah.

I’m pretty sure that’s geese, not ducks.

I propose we get one of those children’s books for identifying animals for every Oppositelock mod and Jalopnik author.

Dusty, 14% on the battery? Have you run down the battery just ducking around? Plug in the charger quick!

Charging it before it’s well into the red short cycles the battery and reduces battery life.

#NotMyTitle

Kinja is merely borked here. I shall see to it that it unborks.

Fair enough. I respect the effort to maximize your battery life.

Counterpoint: My 3+ year old Samsung Galaxy III goes on the charger every night regardless of battery charge so I can start the day with a full charge. Pulled it off the charger this morning at 6 am local time, it is now nearly 14 hours later and it has 77% of the charge left. Probably won’t be down below 70ish when I go to bed tonight... and it will go back on the charger whilst I sleep. Full disclosure: I didn’t use my phone for much of anything today... checking emails occasionally, and the random phone calls.

Summary: I treat my battery horribly, yet it is doing OK in spite of the admitted abuse. I don’t dare trade up for a Galaxy 7... my poor charging habits would surely cause the phone to kill me in my sleep! These same poor charging habits probably wouldn’t serve me well if I bought a Nissan Leaf, either...
