My afternoon at Laguna Seca ended with a large explosion. Fastest lap of the day with a blown engine 500' from the flag — coasted in for it. What followed was a huge white smoke screen from one tailpipe, oil that looks like cottage cheese, and a dipstick that won’t pull more than halfway out as something has crimped the tube. That something, I’d imagine, is a piston.
