It’s been six years since I was last at the TO auto show. It’s also been about six years since I moved back out of Onterrible, and don’t regret it.

The city is still run pretty badly, but the car scene is improving year over year. Lots of international attention still.

Nah... the sea of kids will mostly be on Monday... family day. Kids go back to school on Tuesday and I plan on being at the show when the kids are in school.

I’ve done the opening weekend several times while bringing both of my kids in the past.

But now that my kids are older, they’re not interested in the auto show anymore. So I booked a day off work on the cheap day and gonna be there early.

And I’ll be leaving as the cheapskate families start arriving in the late afternoon.

Anything worth seeing this year or same layout as every other year? I’ve gone the last few years but it was always on the weekend and it was packed to the brim so if you want to take a closer look at any of the nicer cars you have to just about stand in line and then sit there and wonder if that guy behind you is still breathing at the back of your head to get out.

A lot worth seeing because it’s the Nations 150th birthday.

Brand wise they’re all on the same floors as last year but the layout has changed to accommodate the numerous concepts and new unveils. The car count per floor is a lot higher I feel. Fewer big stages but a lot more rotating displays. The exhibits are fairly open but the walkways are the usual cluster.

They had 130,000 people roll through over the long weekend. Lots of high profile stuff on 100, 300 and 800.

Any good this year? I was thinking of going tomorrow, have gone the last 8 years but it’s gotten worse and worse every time...

Last time I spent a good chunk of the day hanging around Chevy’s engine teardown/rebuild. Not that I’m complaining. It was cool. But if that’s the whole day...

Lots! Chevy have a Grand Sport and ZL1 open on the show floor. Lots of GM concepts. A few exotics scattered around the place, namely the huayra tempesta and Chiron. Lots of F1 stuff. Beyond that the usual selection from everyone else.
