Nice turnout today. First up, the best 67-68 Mustang I’ve ever laid eyes upon. The attention to detail was insane. The factory style mirrors even had integrated turn signals.

I got to give a couple of rides in the FiST today, and the exhaust consensus was giggles and laughter. I’ll take that.

It looks like one hell of a show. Between the 911's, Z/28 and Fox you’ve got some of my favorite cars present. The Mustang is beautiful though. I’d like to pick up an LX notch in the next couple years.

Locally there is another LX hatch that is dark metallic blue(close to Kona, it might be actually) on BBS wheels. It is perfect.

Yeah, it was the best one I’ve been to. Not pictured: A new ACR. Also, a Tesla did a Ludicrous launch on the side road. That was cool.

I recognized a few of the cars from the big Cola meetup last Saturday, namely the bumperless 350Z, the blue Supra, the V6-swapped 240SX, and that Mach 1.

By the way, that meetup was a hoot! I’m surprised the cops didn’t interfere at all as people started doing burnouts and donuts in the abandoned parking lot as they were leaving.

Yeah, me and another guy from Gilbert were talking about that meet. We both agreed that it’s too far out. Especially if I drove all the way out, only for it to get busted 10 minutes later.

C&C Augusta and Upstate have it figured out, having police posted at entrance.

I was there for 2.5 hours and not a single cop came out. I think it helps that it was hosted infront of a shut-down strip mall so no active businesses to complain about noise or safety.

I think mine’s going to go down as a well cared for but daily-driven FJ60. Could’ve had it for $4500. Way less than the guy could’ve been asking, but to him it was just his old truck. I decided it was stretching my budget too much, so the financially responsible part of my brain steered me to a second-gen 4Runner more around the $3,000 mark.

I’m very happy with my 4Runner but part of me is realizing that was probably my only chance at an FJ60, possibly ever, and I let it go for an amount that’ll seem relatively small after I graduate and start working as a software engineer this year. The price on those is only going to go up. Not that it matters, because that’s something I could’ve kept forever which I don’t see myself doing with the 4Runner.
