Through the years and treads.

I thing the Eagle Alloys were my favorites. But I didn’t want to beat them up off-road. Also required a thin wall socket so it wasn’t ideal.

I’m a pretty big fan of the stock five-spoke/D-window wheels. But I may be biassed.

I’ve even got an extra set in the basement, you know, just in case.

That was a long time ago, and they were fine enough. I’m not sure how long or how far they were used. I probably wouldn’t go that route again. They didn’t fail while I had them.

My eventual plan is to swap front knuckles to WJ ones to get dual piston brakes and 5x5 lug pattern. Then you gab have these. But who knows when that’ll be. Maybe years. I just got them to roll around the garage with.

I did get a set of WJ stock wheels for rollers for a 6 pack. So those are ready.

I like the stock 5 spokes, you can go up to a 31 or 32 x 10.5 or so on that wheel which will give you a bit more meat on the truck. If you want more meat then you might have to find a 16" wheel.

I’ve thought about that as well, also going to ZJ wheels as a way to get 16's and more tire options. But I like these wheels too much and haven’t found anything else I like as much that I think matches the aesthetics of the truck. Plus I’ve got a low-mile disc-brake 4.10 8.25 sitting waiting to go in once I get a front axle to match (or rebuild and regear the extra D30 I’ve already got), so that sorta precludes going to WJ knuckles/wheels, at least without adapters that I don’t really want to deal with. WJ master/booster is on the list of things as well to increase brake performance.

The 32s and Up were all on 15s but 8" wide and 4" backspacing so they were all pushed out.

There is still a lot of tread left. And wheels and tire choices have changed a lot in the last 10 years. Not even sure what to check out.

I have the 31x 10.5 on my Isuzu and they seem huge. They fill out the wheel well very nicely and they were the oem size.
