Oh yes I recall. I worked in a garage from 99-2002 and this era of GM cars were in constantly for all sorts of maladies. I still think that the handles were cool even if they did break. They were still better than the plastic S10 3rd half-door handles that broke every 20k and created an aftermarket for milled aluminum handles.
