As I’m an avid motorcyclist and Forza fan, I’ve always wished for this.

Also, I had the demo to Ride, but it was, umm, rough at best, so I obviously didn’t buy the game.

Is there any word on Ride 2 going to consoles? I’d love to see how much 2 is improved, if at all. I’ve been craving a good motorcycle game forever and still the only one I can think of is Tourist Trophy for the PS2, which is 11 years old this year... I believe it’s time for another.

It’s on console in UK/EU but I’m not sure about the US. I prefer more arcadey physics when it comes to motorcycle games so I may not be the most reliable reviewer.

If you’re craving another motorcycle game then the MotoGP series is made by the same developers, their 2016 game is called “Valentino Rossi: the Game.” They also have the MXGP license if you’re into motocross. But MXGP 3 will be released within the next few months which uses the Unreal 4 engine which supposedly is a big upgrade. I’m pretty sure they’re all available on console.

There’s another PC-exclusive called GPBikes which is apparently so realistic that just getting out of the pits is a challenge.

I’m seriously considering this, the sale is almost over too. Is playing without nannies on a controller fun/realistic enough (in terms of being able to slide and push the bike to it’s limits)?

I’ve read the AI is very bad, I do just like driving in Forza and whatnot, are there good gamemodes/would it be worth it for just time attack?

The AI is pretty bad, but jumping into a race with zero practice means the player isn’t too great either (I have a LOT of criticism about the Forza/Gran Turismo style gameplay). The coolest thing in my opinion is that it has the North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix tracks. If you’re not familiar with them think Isle of Man TT but with side-by-side racing.

I can’t really speak to the realism of the physics. I’m happy with arcadey physics since IMO it’s ridiculous to even try to accurately replicate riding a motorcycle while you are in fact sitting on a couch holding an xBox controller. Plus I have no idea how to ride a motorcycle on a race track. I think it’s fun, you can slide and wheelie and lock the front and fall over if you’re too hamfisted, but it’s very forgiving if you go off-track. But then again, if gameplay is based off of jumping into low-effort 3 lap races with zero practice then forgiving the occasional off-track excursion is probably fair.
