Got a bit of an OCD request. The On/Off/Volume knob on our 2016 Camry is a bit scratched up from the previous owner savagely using his or her fingernail to push the knob instead of using the pad of his or her finger like a civilized person.

Anybody know of a good source to pick up another one other than the dealer?

Dealer is prob your best bet for a newer car, unless they have been using that particular knob for a while. My guess is that if you find it somewhere else, the quality difference will be noticeable.

I’m also super anal about stuff like this, I have replaced nearly every plastic panel on my E46.

- Remove knob

- Go to dealer

- Browse showroom

- Settle on the Camry

- Switch knobs

- Run

Any chance some meguiar’s plastic-x could polish it out?

Haven’t tried that. Might have to look into that.

Might be worth a shot, just a dab on a microfiber towel and some light pressure. I’ve seen it work wonders on those glossy interior plastics that often get scratched to all hell when people just breath on it. Like the gloss black plastic framing the infotainment system in your pic

Ask Brad. I hear Nationwide is on his side.

Was it your mancave that you needed luck with saving for?

That’s evil. Toyota doesn’t sell the knob separately from what I can tell, even though the graphic plainly displays that it’s easily removable:

Yeah I mean if it’s just surface scratches and not gouged plastic it should work.

Yeah, I ran out of luck.

Or you could just plasti-dip it and let it look different from every other button on the dash every time you look at it. :)

Yeah, it pops right off. I’d check the pick and pull, but I doubt there are and 2015+ Camrys there yet.

With the way so many of them are driven I find that hard to believe.

A lot of the Toyota dealer online parts sites were useless but I was able to find a couple different knob part numbers here : 86128-06100 and 86128-06110. Unfortunately I can’t find what if anything might be the difference between them.

Call the dealer and ask. They’re usually pretty good about that stuff. Where are you located?

2011 an up should be the same body style, right? Don’t know about the interior though. Row52 though will tell you which yard has what cars..

There was a refresh for 2015. Same chassis/powertrain, but updated body/interior.
