Just because the superchargers with all the bits and bobs go for $2000 online, does not make your $1000 car worth as much as the sum of its parts + whatever you think you’ll get for rarity.

The 1mz is know for bad seals in the valve guides (lets add forced induction!)
The front suspension bushings on this gen are notoriously wimpy
The half shafts are likewise wimpy.

My best friend’s mother had a V6/auto Camry of this era back when they were new. Despite having enough grunt to get around just fine, it was one of the most boring cars that I’ve ever driven. I’m not sure if I’ve ever felt less steering feedback in a car. I don’t know what would make one want to invest in one of these cars for anything more than just A to B transportation for someone who doesn’t care.
