Holy crap that’s crazy. I remember hearing one of the guys who owns a JDM import place say that by the time R34's (GTR’s at least) are legally importable to the USA they’ll easily be over 120k in his opinion.

I always thought it would be the opposite. Right now, where the only US legal R34s are the extremely rare cars with a “motorex letter”, the scarcity makes them valuable. Once the car becomes legal to import, what makes those former Motorex cars special? I would think the US prices would plumet when the supply expands.

I thought the same, but what’s happening is that importers are buying up the rare/low mileage ones, and then storing them until they do become legal for USA importation.

I never realized how god awful cheap looking the seats are in the R34. I knew they were in the R32 (ala early 90's everything), but those are hideous. The gauge cluster also looks like it’s out of an early 90's Altima. Remembering my ‘92 DC2 Integra I’m shocked how much nicer the seats, cluster, etc were than this for the price.

the former motorex cars wont be worth as much...but suddenly there is more demand for R34s from the US, and no more supply. hence prices jump.
