The front reminds me of a f-type, the tail lights of a fd Rx7, I like it

Why do Ferrari have to be so overdesigned now? The 458 was modern perfection, and this has good lines (I like the back end), but what is all the fuss with the side lines? So messy.

I’m sure it’ll look better in person though. But that’s not something I should have to say about a Ferrari.

Am I an old ranter now? I also hate the Porsche 991-2. Maybe I should talk my girlfriend into putting me in a home.

The dual taillights remind me of older Ferraris, which I really like. The design is a bit too much for my taste but in a different color it’ll look better imo. But I rather like it.

I must say I kinda agree, though the F12 had some odd lines going on too, the sides of this are a tad overstyled, as is the case with th 488 too.

I’m in no way saying I don’t like it though, it just needs some getting used to. Or maybe my tastes for Ferraris don’t line up with those of typical ferrari buyers, I prefer my front engined Ferraris more elegant and stylish like the 550, 575, 612 and 599 etc.

I actually hated the 458 when it came out in 2011 or 2012 but the design grew on me. Ferrari design as of late has gotten a bit too wild for my tastes, I’ve always liked the restrained V12 models like the 599.

You should be taken into a home haha, the 991.2 is the tamest super sportscar you can buy today imo.

Neat, they took design cues from the GTC4 rather than the other way around.

I remember when Corvettes aimed to look like Ferraris. I guess it’s the other way around now.

The lines on the side remind me a lot of the 488 which I hated until I saw them in person so I’m going to hold back. The 488 looks like it has a lot of lines in photos but in reality they all kind of flow as one curved surface.

The GTC4 aka FF really profited from the redesign in my opinion, though the sidelines of the 812 are a tad bit too much for me.

1. Those fucking wheels.

2. The airflow line here is not as distinctive as the F12. That car’s lines have pretty much characterized the car, and I find it bith clever and elegant. This one... clever.

Speaking of clever, that’s a pretty novel approach. The F12 directed air from the hood, this one’s on the backside of the front wheels.

4. 780 hp. I know Ferrari punched 820 with the FXX K but goddamn. How far can Ferrari push that V12? Hopefully even further, because I love it and I want more.

5. They really like that background, huh? Any image of that?

6. I want to see this fight the NuFORDGT. Badly. Harris I know you have connections, you’ve got to tell the BBC to go make it happen.

The 812 doesn’t have the aerobridge. :(

I think it does. The press release indicates there is an aerodynamic bypass SOMEWHERE back there, look closely above where the number plate goes. Looks to me like a hole, not a lip.

Yeah the side lines are a little weird but the rear end is really nice, I think a lot better than the F12.

It’s not so much a visual cue now more so a ground effects element like the db11.

I like it a lot more after looking at all the pictures on Carscoops. At first, I thought the styling was fussy. A bit too Korean and not enough Italian curves. But, It has a lot of heat to dissipate from that big v12 so it has to have a lot of vents and ducts so that seems to dictate the styling. I would never kick that booty out of my garage though.

Side rant: Can’t they do anything crazy with the door handles? They look like an after thought and too normal. The 355 has them hidden in the side air duct. You are supposed to know you are getting into an exotic! Make opening a Ferrari door an event again!
