That chrome filled grill, those angular chrome eyebrows. They’re straight off a 2010 Fusion. They also share a design that attempts to integrate the grille and headlights, rather than separate them. A style I’ve always been fond of.

I call this the Gillette/Ford face. Almost every car from 08-10 wore it. Except I think the Focus. I don’t think the Focus ever got it. B only the Fusion got the eyebrows. Most just for the three chunky bars.
I take that back, the 2010 Edge also got some chrome eyebrows.

I don’t think so either. Honda keeps moving upscale, some Civics and Accords. Are already better, and. More expensive than Acuras were 10-15 years ago. But at the same time Acura has hit its limit. The whole point of Acura, like Lexus, and Infiniti, was to trick the general public into buying Japanese luxury cars, from companies they thought of as economy car manufacturers. Well those buyers that they needed to fool 30 years ago are now either loyal fans or too old to drive. But now people are much more willing to spend more for a car with the Honda name on it. The problem is. Now Hondas are too high up market, forcing Acura into a higher price range where they can’t fight.

Ah. Yeah that makes sense. I don’t mind gen in the New/Super New Beetles either but mostly because I think they are the worst vehicles in the world. I’d rather drive a Marano Convertible the a VW New/Super New Beetle.

Yup. Honda has done a good job in the past on keeping the design aesthetic different between the two. I’ve personally have hated the Acura look since 2010.
