I am sometimes *not* observant. How did I miss that the Conti from ‘59 to ‘60 gained a tiny little center point in each square of the grill until now? Just to piss of the chrome guy a little extra, I guess.
Looking at it, the lower line of the fender “eyebrow” is a little different than the ‘59, but I think the top might be the same. Added motivation for setting up the eyebrow tooling...

It is amazing how often companies tweaked the design of automobiles back in the day. Those little changes just added to the already high debt the 58/60 cost Lincoln.

On the ‘58 Buick, every. single. one. of the chrome grill checks was separate, IIRC:
It has been described as a “ha ha chrome guy, fuck you”
With the ‘60, I’m guessing when they retooled the outer fender die, they didn’t bother retooling the inner die for the “eyebrow”, as I think that’s at least partly a separate process.

Top pic - oh hey there it’s my backyard, downtown San Antonio! My wife and I stay at that Grand Hyatt on the left when we want to bar hop on the Riverwalk and get absolutely smashed. They often run specials for locals to fill rooms. We’re far enough out of town that it’s not much more than a cab. The upper floors with the balconies are actually condos. Super drunk me had quite conversation with a guy who lived in one and had come down to let his chihuahua relieve himself at 2 AM last time I was there. Any idea if this was a press photo or from a review?
