I bought it when I moved into my place in university because it’s great at lighting up a room and also for feeling relatively safe.

This is not the first case I’ve encountered of an urbanite wielding a Maglight for safety. Ever needed to use it as a club, or felt as though you might have to? I just walk around like I own the place (being 6'2" and 220 helps with that I guess) which seems to have done the trick so far. But I haven’t lived in a city for a while.

Nope. Only times I’ve carried it outside the house were a power outage (and I was walking through the sketchy part of town) and going for a late-night walk through a dark path. Never had to use it other than as a flashlight.
