Saw this truck at the autozone today, and it just begged to have its photo taken. LOVE the tall tires and black painted steelies. I just don’t see these older pickups so clean anymore.

Back when they made things to be abused. 235/85-16s, E load rating at 80 PSI...

I miss my old 3/4 ton chevy truck...

it does look like 85 series tires on a 12 inch rim. Great effect.

I’m of the opinion that more tire and less wheel looks better on almost any vehicle.

Most modern cars actually look better with very large wheels relative to their sizes. But for cars at least 10 years old (and a handful newer), it’s true that they look better with smaller wheels and more sidewall.

Sidewall also makes for a more comfortable ride, which modern cars rarely deliver.

215/70/r16 If I had 17" alloys, I don’t think I’d be able to find an all terrain tires without going up in size from stock.
