It needs to have lots of little mini ///M badges in other random parts of the shirt to signify all the other ///M badges that end up on the typical M or M Sport car, like the door sills, wheel badges, steering wheel, etc.

I was invited to a VIP Maserati event a few years ago. I got a free hat and a 8gb thumb drive. Said thumb drive is now loaded with songs in my M3 and I wear the hat all the time. I get a lot of comments on the hat.
Poor Maserati...they don’t have many race cars. They had 3 for the last StPete Grand Prix and one lost a tire.

Badges are now so prolific that the minimal use on older cars comes into question. More than a few car people have asked why I de-badged my Z4 coupe and placed M badges on it.
... it came from the factory that way - no Z4 designation, just an M.

My 2011 335xi M Sport has an ///M badge on each wheel, on the steering wheel, the shifter, and the door sills. They’re all pretty small but it’s like “LET’S PUT ALL THE ///M BADGES ON THE CAR SO THE M SPORT PEOPLE GET THEIR MONEY’S WORTH!” On the F3x cars you have all those badges plus the brake calipers.

Yep, my wife’s 228i MSport is the same way. I do really liked the /M on the seats, subtle and classy.

Some of the Pirelli World Cup drivers remember me for my white Maserati hat. I am the only one. My friend has a Merc hat. I typically don’t wear a hat, but being in the sun for a weekend by the track encourages me to do so.
It is actually a solid hat. My friend went with me to the VIP Event and they offered her a pink hat. She scoffed and got a blue one. But she got a bottle of water instead of a 8gb thumb drive. There was a crude joke after seeing this.
The event let us test drive the new Giblets when they first came out as well as the GTs. It was my first real drive with a high end car with flappy paddles.
The funniest part of this event was we didn’t know what clothes to wear at a Maserati VIP event at a country club. My usual beat up polo and tattered khaki shorts wouldn’t work. So I went full Burn Notice with a Hawaiian shirt and nice khaki shorts. They didn’t even check to see if I had insurance when they came to get my door of my (freshly washed) M3.

I’d rock a pink Maserati hat, for like a weekend or something.
I’ve pulled up to several dealers in the M3 and there have been several times when they haven’t even asked to see my license.
There was one used car dealer I went to where they were more interested in talking about the M3 than they were in trying to sell me a car.
