You will never ever get rid of it all.

Might as well set the car on fire.

Or sand.

I can’t handle dirty cars, especially a dirty interior. I vacuum my cars almost twice a week.

On facebook I have a picture of 4x 5 gallon containers of phosphoric acid in the trunk of my Fiesta with the rear seats up. I probably needed the DOT hazard placards on it but to our credit, we made that delivery to a customer 150 miles away in record time.

Fiesta ST - hauls ass, and everything else.

Wouldn’t be bad at all, really.

A small square bale is about 40-80 pounds, so that’s in the ballpark of 1-2 passengers for four of them.

The interior, on the other hand... Just living on a farm and passing out hay to animals, then going to the car afterwards results in hay all over the interior. Actually transporting it in the cabin, holy crap.

It’s probably fine. Four hay bales is probably about equivalent to two skinny teenagers, which is what the backseat of a fiesta is made for.

I recently managed 20 bales of pine straw in the back of the Odyssey — I always keep some 4mil plastic sheeting folded up in the back, a trick I learned when I used my wagon for everything and spent months digging out chunks from under the seats. The worst? Portland cement from Quikrete bags.

A small square bale is about 40-80 pounds, so that’s in the ballpark of 1-2 passengers for four of them.

80 pounds! We only hit those number bailing up ruined mulch hay. Anything over 45 pounds was considered heavy for well dried hay.

Kinja'd!!! "bhtooefr" (bhtooefr)
02/15/2017 at 14:18, STARS: 1

That’s just it - well dried hay. If you’re baling it early to try to beat a storm, you end up with a heavy bale, and that seemed to happen a lot for the suppliers we got hay from...

Kinja'd!!! "ateamfan42" (ateamfan42)
02/15/2017 at 15:13, STARS: 1

The trouble with early bailed hay that isn’t well dried is it becomes a fire risk when put up in the barn. It is a bit counter-intuitive that dry hay is safe and wet hay can catch fire. There is a fermentation process that occurs when grass is cut which produces heat. (If you bag up lawn trimmings and transfer into a large barrel, after some time the grass will be quite warm to the touch.) Packing too much wet hay in a tight place can concentrate enough heat to cause combustion.

When we put up hay, any heavy bales at unloading got tossed to the side of the wagon and fed out to the animals that day rather than risking a barn fire putting them in the loft.
