The Karma Revero

I have seen a few on the road, but I was at the yacht club over the weekend and there was one in the lot. The stance and beauty of these makes it an interesting car that I would love to own. Plus they are more interesting and rare compared to Teslas which is always a plus to me.
Below is a Fisker Karma, basically the same car and I like them

Around me, Tesla Model S’s are a dime a dozen, and I’m even seeing the Model X (bloated thing that it is) fairly regularly. But I saw a Karma last week and snapped my head around to get a better look. The design is polarizing, but it sure gets your attention. Have you seen their website lately? It’s full of a lot of touchy-feely stuff - yet I’m fascinated by the car:

That’s definitely true - but they’re walking a fine line with that language. There are a few budding auto makers out there that seem to be more vaporware than actual product, so when it appears that you’re avoiding hard details, you can end up undeservedly lumped in with them. Unless you’re well established like RR is. Even more amusing to me is the ‘badges hand painted by an artist’. But damn, I’d like to drive one.

I don’t know that they *are* longer than a Model S, but they appear to be about 2 feet longer to my eye, because of the way the contours of the two bodies are.

That is a very very good point. I really hope they do well because Tesla needs some actual competition because I think they are coasting and that is why their product is having so many issues.

Car & Driver used to poke fun at that. Back when both Rolls Royce and Bentley were both using the 6-3/4 litre V8, they’d just repeat the stated horsepower & torque as “adequate.” But after Bentley turbocharged it and obviously started ratcheting up the power levels, C&D started cheekily listing the hp & torque as:
- More than adequate
- Extremely adequate
- A surfeit of adequacy
and so on. I suppose if they were still doing that you could say its horsepower is “adequate af”
