The curly fries were greasy and flavorless. The hamburger Patty was like eating a piece of carpet. The bun was dried out. Even the Diet Dr. Pepper was off.

Their Buttery Jack burgers are alright, but very greasy indeed. The fries are also greasy, I can attest to that. I always feel like a greasy slob after eating their food. I give it a greasy/10

That said, I used to have a soft spot for the sourdough breakfast sandwich. Haven’t had one since I lived in Houston.

Bingo. You want something pretty good for cheap? Wendy’s. I used to go to McD’s after work and grab a Big Mac. Want some truth about the Big Mac? It sucks. Every single one of them. No matter where you go, you will always be disappointed. Wendy’s? Usually pretty good. I can grab a Baconator and go “you know, that was pretty good”. Versus McD’s, which is always a regret. Except for the fries.

Nearest Steak and Shake to me is 45 miles away on the turnpike. Although still better than the 1,000+ miles away from Jack in the Box.

I agree with the others. For a drive through burger, I think you’re hard pressed to beat Wendy’s.

I ate this today. It was incredible. That’s a 1/2" thick chunk of deep fried cheddar on top.

They didn’t have a clever name for it. The description was just, “burger with deep fried cheddar on top,” so I had to inquire. I had never been to that place, but my buddy had been there many times. We both got that burger, and he was cursing himself for having never ordered it before. Hours later we were texting about it. It was amazing.

In N Out fries aren’t very good, but they’re acceptable if ordered animal style.

Five Guys fries are terrible. Sure, you get an entire potato’s worth, but it’s a greasy soggy mess.

I’m OK with the fries at In n Out, but I have to order ‘fries light’. They’re a little limp and soggy this way, but it’s better than the normal fries. If I’m feeling crazy I’ll order them Animal style with peppers and pickles. Boy, do I miss SoCal when the subject of In n Out comes up...
