The vehicle in front, FXM670, is still road registered and MOT’d up to the 1st of July 2017.

Of which there are others of this model such as EYT382.

Kinja'd!!!

The second vehicle, LW6737, registered on the 16th February 1921.

You’ll notice on the vans that still operate no longer bare the Royal Warrant of Her Majesty or other members of the royal family. Her Majesty no longer frequents Harrods and uses the services of Fortnum & Mason.

A Royal Warrant from Her Majesty, The Duke of Edinburgh or Prince of Wales are granted if that royal uses that companys services or products and has a trading agreement. The warrant is valid for five years and will then need renewed after.

It can be anything from an ink cartridge company to a car manufacturer.

But can only be granted to a company that the member of the royal family uses and can’t just be bought to give a company prestige.

Harrods in 1999: I was in the UK for a business/study abroad program. They had 720p CRT widescreen TVs, mostly around 30". They were about USD$15k-$20k. That was also the first trip where I ever saw a flat panel monitor — Lloyd’s of London had dozens of them, about 14" with 4:3 aspect. They were $2k each, give or take, but worth the investment because the director said they just needed the space to cram more people in :D
