Kia Cadenza. I like the writer’s prose, and I like how he brings context to the automobile. Excellent writing. Jalopnik? Zero comparison. I’ve liked the Korean car offerings pretty pretty well from their introduction in this country. Strong warranties, adequate power, good value.

My Mom has an Azera. It’s kind of a piece of shit. My First has better build quality, and that’s not saying much. The driving dynamics don’t exist. The ride quality sucks for a “premium” no-sports sedan.
They give the illusion of a good car, without actually building one. They fucking roll coal, and they are gas burners.

I don’t understand. My friend had one. I’d call it a Korean Buick. Decent materials, good power, nice looks. He liked it a lot. Too bad it got totaled in an accident.

It sucks to drive, even from a boring car standpoint. The materials in some places are okay, but there are more squeaks and rattles in there than in my subcompact. Shit, there are probably as many as in my work’s old Aveo. The suspension damping was done by someone who wanted it to be sporty, the sway bars were done by someone who wanted comfort, and the steering wasn’t touched at all, because they wanted it to feel like a controller apparently. It’s a bad car. It’s worse than an Avalon or Lacrosse in every way.
