The three day weekend is official, the lab is closed tomorrow. I’m pouring another as we speak to celebrate Maine’s latest snowmageddon. I took the fat bike out for around an hour at dusk; trails are impassible and roads are getting questionable. We’re looking at ~22" overnight. How’s your weekend?

Did a bunch of yardwork and spring cleaning as it was 76F all weekend. Got a nice drizzle this morning. Gonna go for a ride on the Honda soon then sip some whiskey, smoke a stogie andenjoy my clean front yard.

I run Blizzaks this time of year, but this town is seriously dangerous in the snow, so I avoid going out even with them. I just know they’re there on the off chance I need to get home (plus my Eagle F1 summers are worthless below about 45F).
Hoping to get a set of the Nokian All-Weather tires for my next set of winters...

That’s a GMC goddamn it! Just to up the Arizonaness my street dead ends at a mountain, and my neighbors across the street used to own a Mexican food truck which they parked in the street. There is a running bug at the end of my street.

I was born here, and love being out in the heat, but I have friends who were also born here and can’t handle it. It has the ability to kill you. It’s only oppressively hot for a few months (110+ everyday) and the rest of the time is bearable even for people mot used to it (105 with no humidity). From November to Aprilish it is perfect. We have no water though, so once it gets too expensive to pump it in it’ll just be me and the other true desert rats sweating out our days.
