Kinja'd!!!

Right, time to check on what is essentially my loving chi-

Kinja'd!!!

... What.

Kinja'd!!!

WHAT.

Kinja'd!!!

-HORRIFIED SHRIEKING.-

Kinja'd!!!

HOW?

Kinja'd!!!

MY POOR CHILD!

Kinja'd!!!

Never fear, compressed air is here!

Kinja'd!!!

Cleaned the RAID 0 SSDs up nicely for a bit of aesthetic.

Kinja'd!!!

Made several passes over the heatsinks for the CPU and the MXM 980M GPU (CPU on the left, GPU on the right.)

But....

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

The Pièce De Résistance are my two fans and the cooling vents. Several passes and not only are the cooling vents clear, but my fans are less loud and caked in dust. Normally, my laptop would have been in the upper 35-40*C range but this significantly helped reduce the temperature, so that my laptop isn’t so bleeding hot.

I don’t know, my laptop doesn’t have any fans and I think I prefer it that way.

I only needed it because of the rather “beefy” 980M lurking under the covers (it’s basically the equivalent to a desktop 970, though.) That, and I tend to run fairly demanding games.

It is true that my laptop struggles to do much of anything demanding, given the passively cooled processor and 4k screen.
