Kinja'd!!!

They are weird and crazy, but no dog will love you more. Their madness comes from their high level social intelligence. There are too many here due to unregulated breeding; so many that they ship them all over the country from our shelters. If you adopt one, you won’t regret it. But be ready, their hearts are as big as their bodies are small.

My niece has a Chihuahua named Squid. Poor thing was abused as a pup and grew into the a hideous monster. She loves him.I’d get rid of him. The ultimate rescue of a dog. If Heaven is a dog park, my niece will be there sitting on a bench. Still, you do have to admire the spunk in those little dogs. Yours looks very nice in the picture you posted. That ears-back, submissive body language you’d never see in Squid.

Here are my wife’s dogs. You can see the traumatic lives they life.

They are great dogs. My mom was doing fostering for a chihuahua rescue group for a while that was flying them from Southern California to places back east. She ended up keeping 3 of them for one reason or another. That’s also how we ended up with Wiley (named for his resemblance to a coyote).

When we got our kitten back in the summer of 2015, he was amazing with the kitty. That little kitty is now almost 13 lbs but they are still pals. I have a great slowmo video of the kitten leaping and tackling Wiley and them playing.

Chihuahuas are great and they are some of the most loyal loving dogs you can get!
