Kinja'd!!!

I can’t ride the new bike until a)it stops bloody snowing, and b) Virginia re-issues the title the original owner screwed up when they sold it to the dealer I bought it from.

So I decided to wrap the silver parts of the bike in brushed copper to see what it would look like. I think I like it (though it is more red in person). The plastic valve cover covers can’t be completely wrapped, so I’m only wrapping the center (done one so far). I will probably paint the sides of them either a darker silver or black.

I like the brushed look of the fork tins. The copper looks good too. The pipes look like the ones from my 1300.

Yeah, I wish tey’d done all the silver bits in the color from the fork tins, instead the bits I am wrapping are a lighter silver that looks cheap somehow. If I decide the copper isn’t for me, I’m going to try and match the fork color and respray the silver bits to match.

Good luck. I should dig mine out and start wrenching on it. Only a couple of months to go!
