I visited there when i was in Paris last march. The building was almost as strange as the vehicles inside.

Did you find out how they get the cars up on the platforms? I had to ask!

The woman I asked spoke English ( chickened out of asking en francais) and gave the impression of spending her time waiting for somebody to ask her!

They’ve got an industrial lift in the basement (if you look down from the ground floor you can see a red platform which usually has a car on it) which just lifts whatever needs to be moved to the appropriate level. They then remove the glass panels which protect the edge of the floor mounted platforms (the intermediate ones are unprotected because they can’t be reached) and push the car on or off. The front of the building opens up at ground level to take stock in or out.

Very interesting. I imagine I’ll be back there some day (the girlfriend loved Paris as did I mostly) so I’ll have a look round. Amazing the effort they went to, to essentially display a few cars. The building itself leaves such an impression that it’s probably very good for the brand though.
