Kinja'd!!!

Crusty’s steering wheel was one click away from covering the CEL completely!

It’s a random fault and has been on the “list” for a while. It has something to do with either the PO running an over-oiled K&N (because HORSEPOWER!!) or that the trans is on the verge of not transmitting.

I’m betting on the first because the OD light flashes any time the trans hiccups and that hasn’t happened since I switched to +4 fluid last year.

I gave the old boy a redneck makeover (soft cloth car wash, gorilla tape, rattle cans and tire shine) last week and will post pics later today. He went from being a 50 footer to a 28 footer pretty quick.

That, is the gauge cluster of a ‘92-’96 F-series, is it not?

1995 F-150 extended cab, XLT, 4X4 with the luxurious and surprisingly hard wearing blue “mouse fur” interior as a matter of fact.

I’ve grown attached.

Nice! Dad had a ‘95 2WD regular cab short box. XL, grey interior, 302, E4OD, rubber floor. It was rust free when he got it. Michigan decided to change that. The scuff on the bumper is where a drunk hit it one night. All that happened to the truck. Dude’s van was wrecked apparently. (I was sleeping when it happened.

I want one of those to make a “Lighting” out of in such a painful way.

I definitely miss it (like all of his trucks, it seems). It could have been my first truck but I was going through an intense fear of fire phase and he smelled burning one day (Think it was something with the battery) and I told him he could sell it.

Dumbass, I was.

It’s magical when a steering wheel covers the CEL. It does in my Jeep and I’m thankful for that. I do need to replace those O2 sensors though.
