This album came out. And I was a fan after ‘98 or so when a co-worker lent me some CDs to introduce me to some real music (vs. Contemporary Christian I had grown up on). I have tried to see them a few times, once in ‘02 and the girlfriend of that era got a bad sunburn and we left before they came on. (I still have my Vans 02 tee-shirt in Regular rotation).
Another time about 5 years ago and the show may have been sold out, or box office wasn’t open.
I bought tickets this year in advance and they played this whole album in its entirety. Plus everyone’s an asshole, and take on me.
Awesome show, and they have been touring since (mid January), or for 2 months straight.
The 20 years ago fad was on a little bit ago, so I’m not jumping on that wagon, just sharing an experience.

I caught an RBF show last year. It was a blast. Tons of energy and enthusiasm, and they knew not to take themselves too seriously.

Coincidentally I just saw them Wednesday! They were never one of my go to’s but they were awesome live. As was anti flag.

At first I was like “RBF is hardly real music”, then I read the Christian contemporary part amd was like, oh yeah, RBF is fantastic.
You ever listen to real ska? Like stuff from the 60s-70s? It’s some of the greatest music on earth. Toots and the Maytals, Desmond Dekker, the Skatalites, the Clarendonians...
