Because the M5 isn't powerful enough, I drove a 870 HP one.

Kinja'd!!!

So the M5 is a 500+ HP beast as is, and the C63S with 500HP was the most powerful sedan I had driven, and that was a little squirrley.

To put how powerful this car is in reference DailyDrivenExositc’s Turbochared Lamborghini Huracan has about 800 Horsepower.

And lest you though the torque was low, it was also around 870HP.

If you think I look a little scared in the video- I was!

If this does well & has interest, I’ll write up more of a review- in the meantime:

Let me know the most powerful car you have driven, and if it was too much!

610-ish HP RS7, although ‘driven’ is a stretch. Too much power? Well, that’s up for debate...

Superformance Cobra with a 460 in it. Fun as a driver, too much as a passenger :-).

It wasn’t so much the 550hp as the less than 1 ton, and the lack of anything vaguely remotely resembling active or passive safety systems.

Ya the RS7 is seriously the perfect performance sedan

I doubt that it was actually all that fast by the standards of modern-style performance cars. But it certainly felt it! The really scary thing was the lack of weight in the back and therefore the ease with which it would light up its tyres: any time, any gear, any revs, whether you’re planning it or not. There’s no way it would have been driveable at all in the wet.

Martin Brundle once said “when you get wheelspin at the end of the Mulsanne straight, only then do you have enough power”. This car must have been close to having enough power, or enough for the chassis at least.

Its owner, my sister’s husband, only kept it a year or so; said he couldn’t enjoy it when he had to be so tentative driving it, and he didn’t feel safe putting his kids in it or taking it to the track.

Totally agree. As I said, my dream car. One day, once it gets bodychecked by the depreciation curve, I hope to purchase one and install an APR Stage 3 kit to bring it up to 1,000HP.
