I’m about 500 miles into my 17 Ecoboost. Only avg about 19 mpg in all city driving. My 09 with the 4.6 averaged about 18.5 in same driving so hopefully will improve as it gets broken-in.

Yep, you’re right - here’s the post about how he put 53k on the WK2 in 16 months. I honestly have no idea how he has time drive/work that much and still write so much here.

I’ve had my car for 21 months and just had my 30,000 mile service done a week ago. I think I put 18,000 on the first year (I’m in Houston, where driving as much as possible is mandatory. Praise O&G).
Sometimes I feel bad about it. But cars deserve to be driven. What’s the point of having it if you’re not gonna put in time behind the wheel?

I have a 1 mile commute to work. About 4 miles per day. In theory, I should only put about 10k per year on my car. However, I’ve had it 3 months an it’s got 5K on it. Why? Because I go places. Lots of places.
