I have one (well wife does) and I love it, pretty quick when you lay into it. Did you find the Zoom-Zoom Button at full throttle (WOT button )

I drove one of those when I was taking classes to expand my license to include towing trailers of a certain weight (stupid euro laws). I could never get used to the clutch for some reason, maybe because of the weight we were towing.
Yeah, manual diesel Mazda 6 wagon for towing...Maximum euro.

Shame Mazda brand recognition issue keeps most people from giving them a try. And the online gearheads who see 184 HP and assume its slow. It is actually one of the quickest 4-cylinders in its class. I love mine. (Her name is Sylvia.)
She’s sitting in the hospital parking lot right now, patiently waiting for Mr. Chandler to come home. Complete with his baby seat hooked up in the back. :-)
