Car alarm has been going off for an hour

I am about to seriously lose it. A van across the street has an overly sensitive car alarm which has been going off for an hour. If he’s parked there for the night I probably won’t get any sleep tonight.

Anyone have an EMP I can use on it? Years ago I witnessed someone put a brick through the windshield of such a car, I just closed the curtains and kept watching TV.

Save me Oppo!

***Update***

Just watched someone from one of the houses next door jimmy his way into the car, pop the hood and looks like he disconnected the battery! Total hero, I owe him a beer if I see him.

I’ve disconnected the battery on one of my parents neighbors cars that kept doing that while their neighbors were out of town. Check to see if the door is open and pop the hood. Or just see if you can open the hood. Then disconnect the battery....or the alarm horn.

Door won’t open, hood latch is in the grill (Ford E van) but hood won’t budge. Alarm kept going off so I left before I get held responsible for someone fucking it up.

Call the police. Use the word “nuisance.”

One of my neighbours has an Escape with a broken or oversensitive alarm. It goes off probably every hour, on average.

Honestly there’s only two real ways to solve this: Disconnect the battery or have someone tow it and leave it down the block where there are no houses/buildings. Even if the cops could do something it would likely just be a ticket which means the damned thing is still going to be going off. If I knew someone personally with a tow truck I would pay them $50 to tow it down the block and leave it by the park where there are no residents.

My short term solution, I’ve just had two shots of bourbon and I’m about to take a benadryl to knock me out.

Get some foam earplugs. I use them in hotels. They work great. And turn on a loud fan. The constant noise will help you sleep.

Damn see this is a van I don’t even recognize, and I know most of the cars in my area (who doesn’t!) so that sucks but I just updated the post someone disconnected the battery!

I was about to trigger a lit cloth sticking out his gas tank. But someone just came and disconnected the battery

Official time is just about 4 hours of it going off, I timed the alarm at blaring for 42 seconds and staying off for around 18 seconds. Sometimes going off as fast as 14 seconds later if the wind blew on it hard enough.

Hope they have a hard time figuring out the issue before realizing what’s wrong.
