I’ll start. I like Richard Rawlings.
Don’t know what it is, I just like the guy. I don’t always like what they do to the cars they work on, but I do like that he doesn’t take what some people think he should do into consideration. The F40 for example.
Personally, I think it looks awesome. Some people were upset it didn’t go back to stock, but who the hell cares? They made 1300 F40s, most of them still exist, and by all rights this one shouldn’t exist...so its the perfect one to modify.
So that’s my confession. I like Richard Rawlings. And I feel better for having come clean on that.

I have met Richard Rawlings before, he was a real nice guy. Him and Aaron go around and make appearances at car shows. RR was waiting in line at for a porta potty and my buddy told him he could just use the one at his house across the street. After he was done he came and had a beer with us and took some pictures with the kids. Overall I think he’s a pretty nice guy.

FP jalops are fucking hypocrites. A brown Volvo wagon with an Inline-6 comes and is drop dead gorgeous but they don’t buy it.
The SS comes along, the stick shift comes too, Jalops don’t buy it. After so many bitchfests on the FP about wanting MUH SLEEPER, the SS is nice and stealthy and the main page say “0/10 IT LOOKS LIKE A MALIBU LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL”.
OH I’M NOT DONE YET!!!!! Jalopnik wants a cheap cute little beetle replacement. The 2016+ SMART ForTwo comes along. It comes with a stick shift, and from what Miss Mercedes says, it’s pretty fun for a little roundabout. Not to mention it can to 0-60 in <10 seconds, something a beetle couldn’t even dream of. THEY HATE IT.
OH HOHO, ONE LAST THING. THE HORSEPOWER COCK-FIGHTS. FP COMPLAINS THAT CARS ARE TOO POWERFUL, THE TOYOBARU COMES ALONG, THEY COMPLAIN ITS UNDER POWERED. WHAT THE FUCK ELSE DO YOU WANT? I think most of Rawlings “personality” is an act for the show, sometimes it’s a bit much, but I still really like the show. Not sure how it’ll be next season though since it sound like Aaron is leaving.
Confessions:
I think the Porsche 928 is ugly, I cant find a single flattering angle on it.
I love jellybean Fords and think that they’re one of Ford’s best looking pickups ever.
I no longer think Doug DeMuro is funny. Some of his pieces when I first found Jalopnik had me rolling on the floor, but I haven’t really laughed at any of his articles for a long time now. I still enjoy them, but don’t think they’re funny.
This one needs a little context, I’m from South Dakota, born and raised, love pickups, big country music fan (except most of the newer garbage), wear cowboy boots, have a beard, hunt, fish, etc. I fucking love Kesha, maybe that’s not shameful, but it’s likely not something you would think I like if you saw me.
Now for my big one....(dramatic pause).... I think Harley Davidson makes some of the best motorcycles in the world. They’re not the fastest, best handling, most reliable bikes, and they’re certainly not without flaws, but when it comes to fit, finish, little details that you’d likely never notice, cramming modern design and engineering into old styling and design Harley does a top notch job IMO. I was never a Harley guy until I bought one.

I’ve owned manuals from 1995 to 2015, then I crashed my 6 speed awd SX4. We were expecting our 3rd kid, so small car was out of the question.
We started looking a 7 passenger awds, and I only tried the pathfinder to cross it off my list.(because it was a CVT) but really liked the constant acceleration and no shifts.
Now I want to sell my wife’s Elantra and get another sx4 for me..
I still have my general grabber AT-2s for it.

I live in Wisconsin, buildings don’t crank their heat too high when it’s butt-ass cold outside. My last gym was in a warehouse type building and I was lucky if they even put it up to 63. Current place is more like 67-68 but still. Sweating at that temp in moisture wicking shirts makes me cold so the tights help me retain some heat. They wick so there’s no sweatpant swamp ass, and I can run in them. I do cardio every workout.
