worked at a gas station in high school, saw someone drive off with the nozzle still in about a dozen times. Thankfully the breakaway connectors worked every time.
but I’ve got to think that one is a prank. there’s no way you don’t notice the huge “thunk” when it lets go. Everyone I personally saw do that stopped right away.
