Overwhelming. I’m like in shock at how amazing this is. He arrived today at 2:07 P.M. 8 pounds, 14 ounces. 21 inches long.

Oppo, say hello to your newest mini-Opponaut, Chandler.

He was legit trying to eat my finger. <3

A big boy! My first son was 10 lb 5 oz when he was born. I don’t know how his mother carried that load for so long!

Congratulations. Remember, he’ll be driving in less than 16 years. The only advice I can give you is to sleep as much as you can, whenever you can. Sleep deprivation is a bitch. After our first, we had twin boys. I think I was hallucinating from lack of sleep.

So awesome. Congrats. Soak it up, Dad. If you aren’t already, I’d encourage you to start keeping a journal for Chandler. Write what these last few months, weeks and days were like, and keep track of milestones as his life goes on. Write about him, about his mom or yourself, or to him directly, whatever. You’ll be able to give it to him one day as a physical representation of how much you love him and how much he means to you. I have one for each of my kids. I don’t write in them as often as I might like, but I write in them nonetheless. I hope the journals are meaningful to them one day.

Congratulations to the whole Mazda616 family! Your world has changed — for the better, but there will be sleep deprivation! The advice to sleep whenever you have a little time for it is good- but that gets better quickly. You’ll be amazed at how quickly he grows. Mine is 6 months old now and has come so far in that time.
