Kinja'd!!!

So my parts, according to the tracking are “out for delivery.” That means, of course that someone is going to be stopping by my apartment, finding me not there and dropping off a call back request. So I’ll need to get home and call and wait to see what goodies have arrived.

CTR EK9 for a reminder of my inspiration for my GA3 in the head shot.

I mean, as a partial owner of a miniature NASCAR , I heartily approve of your concept, but being a mini-CTR in particular just adds extra awesomeness points.

ALL OF MY APPROVAL.

Missed packages hurt more. It adds the extra waiting for bitterness. It can be made worse through online tracking and notifications though. That can really push you over the edge...

I assume your car is much much cheaper than an actual type r?

UPS likes to delivery packages to my leasing office after they close, so I can’t get them until the next morning. So frustrating...

I paid only $975 for it. It’s a Type TS, which means it came with a lot of design elements like the side skirts and rear and front lips, the three spoke leather wrapped steering wheel which is the same as the Prelude and the Integra Type R DC2, a nice instrument cluster (the 2001 is even cooler looking which is why I ordered it), and while I could only find one of the Recaro seats with the right rail (I had to order the passenger rail from Recaro), the Integra Type R DC5 red Recaros basically were just bolt in.

It’s an automatic though. Strangely the TS did not have a manual option at all, but I only have an automatic license. I’m planning a B16 or a K20 swap and will swap out the transmission at that time.

So how does that work as far as your licencse and shaken goes?

If I do an engine swap and it works as it should, then it will pass shaken. If I don’t have a manual license but I do a transmission swap, I am in trouble, as I won’t legally be allowed to drive my own car.

Ive been to Tokyo last October, I saw literally one GA3, exactly the same damn color/trim/wheels as yours, a 4-door too. I swear to god, if it werent for me not wanting to get squashed by the oncoming cars, I wouldve jump in front to see if you were in the car.

Why? Because Oppo.

...There is an excellent chance it was me. I have only seen two or three GA3s in my time here in person, and never with the exact same trim. Also, if the B pillars were black, that’s a modification I did myself, so that seriously increases the odds it was me.

I honestly cant remember the b-pillars, however, my instant reaction was: Kat! Either way, loving what you have in mind for the car. It is really starting to turn into a proper GA3 Type-R....:D

Do you have any plans for the engine? Whats in it anyways? A D14?

D13B, 89.9bhp, 1.3L SOHC non-VTEC. I plan to toss in a B16 or a K20 eventually.

I’ve thought about getting packages delivered to work, but the appearance of it could be misconstrued.

I remember a senior manager getting giant boxes of stuff delivered at my last company, for his other job (CO of a reserve battalion), and the shade that was thrown from that. No one complained when the IT guy got a Viper motor and drivetrain delivered though....

I feel your pain, but at least you are in Tokyo, and once international items clear customs they don’t need to be shipped to a different city. I have a package from Amazon.com that has said it was out for delivery for 2 days now (the update just prior to it is that it cleared customs), and I haven’t even received a slip saying I missed it yet.
