Apparently in the UK Harv was voiced by Clarkson. Kinda strange to hear his voice in a kids movie.

What’s the story behind this anyway? The UK release of the film came several weeks after it debuted in the US. Does that have anything to do with it?

Were they just looking for a way to shoehorn Clarkson into the movie, deciding that Jeremy Piven’s was the most “disposable” voice? I mean, nothing against Piven, but having Clarkson in both versions would have been great. Why not do that from the start?

Don’t know. I have only ever seen the US version and only found out about this today when it popped up in my YouTube feed.

I didn ’ t realize they re - voiced it for other English - speaking markets. Interesting. I always sort of assumed Piven was in the flick as a nod to his role in Entourage, which probably wouldn ’ t have been as recognizable in the UK. Ironically, he also plays Mr. Selfridge in the British show, but that ’ s more recent.
